was the recipient of one of
the first Peace One Earth
medallions that have been
created by StepUp4Vets (www.stepup4vets.org),
a nonprofit organization
founded by philanthropist
Patricia Kennedy to partner
in the transition of our
returning veterans as they
readjust, redirect and
rebuild their civilian
lives.
The event was held at
Patricia's home to
commemorate the beginning of
Armed Forces week. Among
the other guests were Wayne
Newton, who has taken over
the reigns of Chairman of
the USO Celebrity Circle
from Bob Hope, actor Hugh
O'Brian and astronaut Buzz
Aldrin and his wife Lois. |

Stefanie with
the parents of Mark
Metherell,
who was killed in Iraq in
April along with seven elite
Iraqi Special Forces
personnel in the outskirts
of Baghdad. An IED exploded
and destroyed the lead
vehicale in which they were
riding. Patricia presented
medallions to his parents
and sister in his memory. |

services and HIV/AIDS
prevention education
throughout Los Angeles
